Loran Edgar
Larson, Jr.
June 18, 1935 – April 14, 2026
Loran “Lars” Larson Jr. beloved husband of Linda Larson peacefully went home to meet the Lord on Tuesday April 14, 2026 at age 90. He was born on June 18, 1935 in Isanti, Minnesota to Loran Sr. and Verna Larson and was raised in the Anoka Minnesota area.
Lars married Linda Mulvihill, with whom he would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this coming August. Together they had three children; Steve (Renee), Cindy (Bill) and Janelle (Paul); 5 grandchildren, Katie Larson and Haley Larson, Benjamin (Savanna) Davis, Rebecca (Nathan) Jacobson and James (Samantha) Mitton; 5 great-grandchildren; Emma, Lucas, Maverick Jacobson and Bowen and Elouise Mitton.
Lars is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wendall and sister Corrine Provost.
Lars was an active member in his church. In his earlier years he enjoyed trips to the Boundary Waters with the youth group camping, fishing and canoeing. He also enjoyed hunting in Wyoming. Lars became known for hand-crafting elaborate doll houses, which he continued to do right up to his passing.
Lars and Linda owned several businesses. In the early 1960’s they owned a neighborhood grocery store, then moving into the retail hardware business where Lars retired from after selling the Ace Hardware store they owned in Forest Lake, Minnesota. This gave them more time together to enjoy their winter home in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
Celebration of life will be at Transform Church, 1657 161st Avenue NW, Andover, Minnesota on May 9th, 2026 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10 am at the church.
