IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loraine Alice
Patron
March 24, 1931 – March 26, 2026
It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Loraine Alice Patron, who peacefully left this world on March 26, 2026, at the age of 95. Loraine was surrounded by her loving family in her cherished home, a fitting farewell for a woman who dedicated her life to her family and community. Born on March 24, 1931, in Ely, Minnesota, to Eino and Tyyne Lempia, Loraine was the embodiment of grace, kindness, and unwavering faith. She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husbands, Brookhart Gave and George Patron; her brother, Stanley Lempia; and her dear daughter, Barbra Gave. Her legacy continues through her surviving family members: daughters LeRayne Paul (Warren), Gail Brunette (Max Pina), and Georgine Kosior (Randy); daughter Sally Patron-Espana (Sam); son Scott Patron (Sandrita Whyte); as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Loraine graduated from Hibbing High School in 1949, embarking on a journey that would see her touch countless lives. She was a Gold Star Wife, having lost her first husband, Brookhart E. Gave, who was killed in action in January 1951. In July 1952, she found love again and married George W. Patron, with whom she shared twenty beautiful years until his passing in September 1972. Professionally, Loraine was known for her dedication at Tuffys Dog Food, where she eventually retired. Her commitment to her work was matched by her devotion to service, as evidenced by her life membership with the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #3289 in New York Mills, MN. Loraine’s life was a testament to the power of prayer and the strength of community. Often referred to as a "prayer warrior," she used her spiritual gifts to uplift those around her. Her love for sports, particularly the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Gophers, was a source of great joy and a testament to her spirited nature. Those who knew Loraine described her as a lovely lady, an accolade she wore with humility and grace. Her life will be celebrated with a service at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, located at 19001 Jackson St NE, East Bethel, MN 55011, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Interim Healthcare of Twin Cities for their compassion and support during Loraine's final days. Loraine's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. Funeral Services Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11 am at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 19001 Jackson Street, NE, East Bethel. Visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be held on Friday (4/10) at 1pm at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, Minnesota.
