Lora Mae Okerstrom, 61, gained her angel wings on November 3rd 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Lora was born on August 8th 1960 on an army base in Germany. Her parents returned to the St. Francis area in 1965. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1978. She obtained her degree in special education at Moorpark College in California and settled back home after schooling and started her own daycare. After a few years in the daycare business she joined RMS, and worked there for 28 years in customer service. She then returned to her true passion, working with kids as a transportation para for the St. Francis school district. When she wasn't working she enjoyed playing BINGO, scrapbooking, attending church, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Lora is preceded in death by her parents Mary Lou, and Victor Okerstrom (birth father Lawrence Daml) and sister Tamara "Tami" Skumlin.

She is survived by her son, Anthony & Sarah Okerstrom, and grandchildren Oliver and Owen; siblings Larry & Brenda Daml, Loretta "Jeannie" & Dave Larson, Lee & Jody Okerstrom, Darcie & John Haspel; nieces, nephews and their families, Amanda (Jessie, Samantha, Carter, Lily) Daml, Daniel "Danny" (Alexis) Daml, Linda & Israel (Elijah, Liam) Zepeda, Ashlee & Brian (Henley) Gibson, Pauline & Bryan (Benson, Wyatt, Ryder, Colton) Keeler, Katrina & Andrew (Marshall) Jezewski, Kieran Okerstrom, Shayna & Preston (Paislee) Bernier, Nate Haspel, Annika Okerstrom and Zach Haspel.

An evening Visitation will be held on Monday, November 15th from 5-8pm, and again on Tuesday, November 16th at 10am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11am at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home - 2005 Branch Ave, Anoka MN, 55303. After the services, her burial will take place at West Oak Grove Cemetery.
