Shirley (Lois) Rickard, age 95, of Minneapolis passed away Monday, March 1, 2021.  Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, community volunteer and friend. Shirley enjoyed bowling in leagues for many years, was an avid reader and loved her crossword puzzles. Shirley volunteered many places throughout her life including the Courage Center of Mpls, the Servicemen's Center at the Mpls Airport, Unity Hospital, Sorteberg  Elementary and was very involved with the American Legion Post 99 serving as Auxiliary President and 5 ^th District President over the years. Shirley's family was the center point of her life.  She spent every moment she could happily with those she loved. Shirley is survived by sons Terry (Ruth), Mike (Cathy), James, Wayne (Lynda), Kurt (Barb), and daughters Tina (John), Laurie (David), and Carole. She has 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband Lyle and her daughter Shirley. Private family services will be held March 16 ^th at Thurston Deshaw in Andover with a celebration of life to follow when Covid restrictions allow.
