French, Lois E. Age 98, of Anoka. Lois was born in Anoka, schooled in Anoka and was a graduate of Anoka High School. She worked as a teacher, and was a nurse at the Anoka State Hospital. She enjoyed camping, travel, golf, knitting, crafts, and especially socializing. She was a longtime Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Anoka. Preceded in death by husband James; sons Ben and Dale; grandsons Kevin, Chuck and Jason; great-granddaughter Hannah; parents Benjamin and Blenda Dougherty; brothers Lloyd and Dennis; and sisters Ruby and Carol. Survived by son Tom (Kathy) French; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Polly Sharp, Ione Dumas, Theda (Ed) Lande, Norma (Leroy) Stone and Mavis (Jack) Guelker; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services Tuesday 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Anoka, 1235 Park St., Anoka. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Visitation 1 hour prior to services at the church only.
