Linda Miriam (Kumpula) Von Vett was born on February 21, 1916 and died peacefully on February 21, 2015, her 99th birthday. She grew up in Sebeka, Minnesota and graduated from Sebeka H.S. In October of 1940, Linda married Vincent Von Vett and was married for 54 years, until Vince's death in 1994. She was a resident of Blaine and Andover for over 65 years. For the last 20 years, Linda lived with her son, David, and more recently, her daughter, Virginia.

Linda was a homemaker, enjoyed traveling with Vince, and worked for The Star & Tribune for many years. After retirement, Linda spent many of her summer days gardening and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her six children, Vincent (Julie) of Wyoming, Minn., Virginia Von Haider of Coon Rapids, Minn., Peter (Joyce) of Bailey, Colo., Jim of Warner, New Hampshire, David of Andover, Minn., Bob (Mary) of Coon Rapids, Minn., 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her two brothers Richard and Basil Kumpula, her sister Agnes Lindroos and a multitude of relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Grace Lutheran Church, 13655 Round Lake Blvd. NW, Andover, MN.
