Westad, Lester S. "Pete" age 71 of Columbia Heights.  Pete passed away January 2, 2021 from complications of Parkinson's Disease.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degree, and was a science teacher of Bertha High School in northern Minnesota for 20 years.  He is preceded in death by parents, Rauben and Charmkin Westad.  Survived by wife, Lynne; sons, Mark (Kate) and Jeff (Wendy) and their families; living brothers and sisters.  Private graveside service were held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Champlin Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka, 763-421-0220.
