Koerner, Lenny W. Jr. age 70 of Elk River, passed away on January 25, 2025.

Lenny grew up in Brooklyn Center and graduated from Brooklyn Center High School in 1972. He went on to Tech School for auto mechanics.

There are a lot of stories about him and his friends and their hi-jinks.

He and Margie married on January 25, 1975 at Ascension Church in North Minneapolis. We lived in North Minneapolis and eventually moved to Brooklyn Park, then to Champlin and to Elk River in 1993.

We enjoyed family vacations, holidays, parties, fishing and casino trips in our 50 years of marriage. But especially spending time with our son, Len, our granddaughter, Brandie, grandpa's sweetheart, and our grandson, Benny, grandpa's buddy and sister, Betty.

Lenny was a gentle soul. A teddy bear of a man. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He would do anything for anyone. There are so many stories of Lenny, Big Lenny to our son's friends. He would go above and beyond for them, sometimes even at his own expense.

He had no enemies because he was so nice to everyone. His love for his wife, son, grandchildren, family and friends was way beyond anyone can imagine. He lived his life with no regrets, not needing or wanting anything except that his family was happy. He fought so hard to hang on to life for his family.

He lost his battle on January 25, 2025 with his wife, son, granddaughter, grandson, sister and many extended family holding on to him and showing their love for him.

Lenny was survived by his wife, Margie; son, Len, sister, Betty; granddaughter, Brandie; grandson, Benny along with many other loving family and friends.
