Lenae Haas, 63, beloved and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, cherished aunt, and dear friend to many, of Coon Rapids, MN, passed peacefully in her home and into the loving arms of her Savior, Saturday, February 3, 2024. Lenae was born in Grafton, ND and was raised in Hoople and Tioga ND. After graduating from Valley City State College, she began a career as a kindergarten teacher in Park River, ND. In short order, she was in need of a kidney transplant and received one that summer which lasted the remainder of her life, almost 40 years. Her medical trials led her to pursue a career in nursing, and she graduated with her nursing degree and began that career in 1987. Lenae spent 30+ years as a nurse in the hospital and school settings and was admired and loved by her coworkers, patients and their families. She loved her husband and children with all her heart and was so blessed at the end of her life to welcome her first grandchild into this world. Nothing was more important to Lenae than growing in her faith in Jesus Christ and walking each day by the counsel of His word. Though she had many struggles and challenges and her health deteriorated significantly in her last years, her faith never wavered; she did not lose heart, knowing that though her outer self was wasting away, her inner self was being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction was preparing for her an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison (2 Cor 4:16-17). Lenae was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Miller; stepfather, Kenny Miller; and father, Darrell Olson. She is survived by her husband of almost 32 years, Chris; children, Anna and Jesse; Grandson, Ayden; Brothers, Randy (Jill) Olson of Bagley, MN; Paul (Vikki) Olson of Tioga, ND; Mitch (Elsa) Olson of Worland, WY. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 17 at Pathways Community Church, 6341 167th Avenue, NW, Ramsey, with Visitation one hour prior. There will also be a Visitation/Reviewal Friday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue in Anoka, MN. Memorials may be directed to Pathways Community Church.
