Lee E. Bugge, age 85 of Sauk Centre, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at St. Therese - Oxbow Lake Care Center in Brooklyn Park.

Lee was born on May 25, 1934 in Ida Grove, Iowa to Ernest Carl, Sr. and Leah Chloe (Pfleeger) Bugge.  He attended Ida Grove High School prior to serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He later worked at Federal Cartridge, Fabri-Tek, and independent sales.  in his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, golfing, and woodworking.  Lee was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre, MN.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Helen (Schiley) Bugge; step-son, Daniel; brother, Gene; and sister, Alice.  Lee is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Jim) Ayers of Brooklyn Park and Shelley (Kevin) Heutmaker of South St. Paul; step-sons, Michael (Nancy), Douglas (Wendy), Ronald (Sue); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest (Marcene) Bugge, Jr.; also many relatives and friends.

The family wishes to express Special Thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Therese at Oxbow Lake Care Center for the loving care they provided to Lee.

A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Avenue South, Minneapolis.  Meet at 12:45 p.m. in Assembly Area 2 at the cemetery.

Per CDC guidelines, social distancing and the use of masks are required.
