Beckman, Laverne Ruth April 18, 1924 - April 21, 2009 Reunited with husband, Myrle. Will be dearly missed by children, Ronald (Sandra), Jack (Carrie), Myrle Jr. (Mona), Brian (Norine), Heidi (Kevin), Lynn, Scott (Kim); 15 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Laverne always loved any conversation over a good cup of coffee, was an avid reader and crossword puzzle whiz. She had a genuine interest in people and always made time to listen. After raising her family she went to work for many years in the health care field in Walker, MN. A heart felt thank you for the loving care given to her in her final days by her granddaughters, Jessica, Jenny, Jonie, Ashley, and Sammi Jo, daughters-in-law, Norine and Kim, and son-in-law, Kevin. "The death of a mother is the first sorrow wept without her". Memorial service Friday, May 1, 7 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, W. Main St and Branch Ave., Anoka. Private interment.
