Obituary

Johnson, Laurence O. "Buster" age 90 of Dayton, died on October 7, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Anna; brother, Norman. Laurence is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Laura; daughters, Diane (Bob) Gilpin, Linda (Mike) Loesch, Nancy Kise, Debra Gioia; grandchildren, Joshua Gilpin, Deborah Jo (Joel) Heuschele, Jacob (Melissa) Gilpin, Emily Gilpin, Jason Babler, Melissa Babler, Cholena (Travis) Schmid, John (Kayla) Kise, Carrie Kise (Jamshid Fehresti), Giovanni Gioia; 18 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Marlene Johnson; and nieces.

Buster served in the Navy as a Seaman Second Class of the USS LST-218 and 1042 during WWII. After returing home he became an active member in the Anoka Covenant Church, VFW, and the Masonic Lodge.

He loved to hunt with his dogs and to go fishing with family and friends.
He worked for 35 years at Norris Creamery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Hanson, of the Minneapolis VA Hospital and the Allina Hospice nurses.
