Larry Lee Landis was born to Raymond Landis and Christina (Wiles) Landis on October 7, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from high school in New Lebanon, Ohio and went on to attend General Motors Institute in Michigan. Larry passed away on February 18, 2025 in Fridley, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice; daughter, Beth (Jim) Carlson and grandson Derek (Rachael) Carlson, great-grandchildren Jaxon & Evelyn, grandson Justin (Alyssa) Carlson, son Thad (Darnelle) Landis and granddaughter Christina (Ryan) Steiger and granddaughter Megan Landis; sister Gail (Richard) Marker and family; and other family and friends. Memorial Services Friday, March 7 2025 at 1:30 pm at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue, Anoka with visitation one hour prior to the services. Private interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. A Celebration of Life and Sharing will follow the memorial service at Greenhaven Golf Course, 2800 Greenhaven Road, Anoka. Larry and Aice and their family moved to Cambridge, Minnesota in 1976 where Larry worked at Twin City Tool and Motek over the years. Larry and Alice then moved to Anoka in 1990 while Larry worked at Kurt Manufacturing where he retired from. Over the years he spent time with family and friends making memories snowmobiling, camping, canoeing as well as following his grandchildren's sports later in life.
