McKnight, Lance J. age 58, of Fridley passed away with his daughter Amanda by his side February 16th, 2016. Survived by mother, Nancy; children, Jacob (Mindy) McKnight, and Amanda (Dean) Moodie; grandchildren, Matthew, Devin, Dakota, Landon, and Lincoln; and many beloved siblings. Lance was the youngest of eight children, with a huge heart and an enormous personality that welcomed all who knew him. He defined himself by the love he gave to others and the beautiful children and grandchildren he held dear. His life was ended too soon exactly a year and a half following a tragic accident that left Lance with a severe Traumatic Brain Injury. He fought courageously with many strives forward; allowing him to see his grandchildren grow and touch the lives of many who learned of his story. Sadly his journey has ended but in the hearts of all who knew him, he will forever be Lancer…Daddy…Papa. A Memorial service will be held at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave. Anoka Tuesday, February 23rd at 1200 noon, with family visitation at 10 am and open visitation at 11 am.
