IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Lee
Slyzuk
August 4, 1941 – December 7, 2021
Slyzuk, Kenneth L. age 80 of Andover, passed away at his home surrounded by family on December 7, 2021.
Kenneth was a loving father and devoted farmer. He was a man who lived a simple life and wanted to be surrounded by his family. It was common to find him out in his fields. He was a driven man that thrived on hard work. Farming was not the only thing he cared deeply about. His family meant everything to him. He was able to keep his family close by and spend every weekend having family dinner together.
During the winter months, when he put his fields to rest, he enjoyed frequent vacations to Branson and anywhere that was warmer than home. God may have put him to rest now, however he is walking along the horizon of his next life, with a spring back in his step, approaching his heavenly embrace and reuniting with friends and family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Olga. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann; children, Paulette (Chris) Hynes, Lorraine Nyholm (Cal Bean), Stephanie (Ben) Wallin; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Trent) Schiefelbein, Dustin (Megan Gjemse), Mackenzie, Miranda, Ethan, Levi & Caleb; great-grandchildren, Lillian & Adley; along with many other loving family and friends.
A public visitation will be held on Monday (12/20/2021) from 5 - 8 PM at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St NW, Andover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday (12/21/2021) at 11 AM with a visiting time one hour prior to Mass at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St, Anoka.
