Mapes, Kenneth D. (Bo) age 58, passed away at his home on November 18 after a battle with lymphoma. He was born in St. Paul, MN, grew up in Mounds View, and lived in Andover. He met Gayle in his fifth grade math class and she became his wife in 1979. Ken was a hard worker right up until his diagnosis, working almost 40 years distributing beer. He never complained, laughed often, and was relentlessly positive about life. He loved hunting, fishing, Western movies, the Minnesota Twins, and ice cream. Preceded in death by his mother, June, he is survived by his wife Gayle, daughter Melissa, son Joshua, brother Steve (Libby), sister Helen, sister Verna, father Dean, parents-in-law Ardon and Lovera Olson, brother-in-law Grant, sister-in-law Glory (Brett), sister-in-law Glena (Steve), brother-in-law Garth (Jeana), and 10 nieces and nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 13655 Round Lake Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304.
