IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keith Allen
Kuebelbeck
January 30, 1962 – May 30, 2022
On May 30, 2022, Keith Kuebelbeck (AKA Kong), loving husband, father, brother, friend, and grandpa; passed away at the ridiculously young age of 60 after being sucker-punched by stage-four appendiceal, peritoneal cancer. Right now, Keith is in heaven having a much earned stiff-one with his parents Allen and Mary Kuebelbeck and many other loved ones (their kids know who they are) throwing a good party!
As a true legacy to his dad Al, Keith was a big man in many ways with a heart that was even bigger. Keith loved his family dearly, and leaves behind his wife Nancy, step-daughter Jennifer Woods, sons Blake and Alec Kuebelbeck and grandson, Devin Brinkman. He didn't leave them willingly. Though Keith was in peace at the end surrounded by family, he fought to his last breath, battling his cancer with heroism, humility, and grace, enduring 28 rounds of bad-ass chemo in the process.
Keith was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on January 30, 1962, and spent his early years living and going to school in Randall and Little Falls, Minnesota. Keith attended Spooner High School where he participated as a star-athlete in basketball, track, and football. Recruited by the University of Minnesota, Keith went on to play football for the Minnesota Gophers. Keith spent his professional career working in the printing industry, finishing up his career as the Production Manager at Park Printing in Minneapolis, a job he loved.
An avid fisherman (understatement!), Keith fished year-round, sharing his passion with his sons, wife, and many friends. Keith also spent much of his life deer hunting with friends and family, always shooting the smaller deer, leaving the big ones out of courtesy for the other hunters 😉 . Keith was a push-over for his 90-pound, black lab Jax, who considers himself a lapdog. Like the rest of us, Jax misses Keith very much! And, not unlike his dad, Al, Keith was a stickler for an immaculate lawn. We still tell stories about the time Keith mistakenly fertilized his lawn with weed killer. You can imagine how that went.
Keith was preceded in death by his dad, Allen and mom, Mary. Keith leaves behind his wife, Nancy Kuebelbeck, step-daughter Jennifer Woods, sons Blake and Alec Kuebelbeck and grandson, Devin Brinkman. Also left on earth are siblings Lynn (Gary) Gadacz, Kimberly (Matt Leisch) Moroni, Joel (Joan McFarland) Kuebelbeck, Leah (Kevin) Nelson, Jennifer (Ross) Wamre and Chris (Brent) Wittwer. Keith is survived by nieces, nephews and over 100 first-cousins (yes, really).
Though Keith has permanently "GONE FISHING", a celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW. Andover, MN 55304. Visitation is at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to ACPMP Appendix Cancer Research Foundation acpmp.org/about-us/
