Kathryn Beckman, 78, of Andover MN passed away on December 18th, 2022 at the Park River Estates Care Center in Coon Rapids. Kathyrn Kruize was born August 11th, 1944 to Eppo and Freada (Buss) Kruize in Fergus Falls, MN.

Kathy graduated from Elbow Lake High School in 1962 and worked as a bank teller in Elbow Lake, MN. On August 8th, 1964 she married Edwin Beckman at the Presbyterian Church in Elbow Lake and they made their first home in Graceville, where she continued working as a bank teller at the Graceville Bank for 5 years. After that they moved to Moundsville, MN for 3 1/2 years where she worked at Midwest Federal.

In 1973, Kathy gave birth to their son, Jason, on January 24th and later that year they completed building their home in Andover where they welcomed their daughter, Jackie Beckman two years later, on November 10th, 1975. Kathy enjoyed being a stay at home mother for her 2 children, listening to music, dancing, playing her accordion, shopping for her 5 grandchildren, and baking her famous brownies.

Preceding her in death, Parents Eppo and Freada Kruize; sisters, Alvina (Fred) Woltjer, Darlene (Orvin) Rosin; brother Fred Woltjer; and granddaughter, Marian Cochran.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Edwin Beckman; children, Jason, and Jackalyn Beckman; grandchildren, Montana Cochran, Elizabeth Beckman, Cameron Beckman and Ryleigh Beckman. Sisters Gladys Woltjer, Diane (Harvey) Erickson.

A Memorial Service will be held for Kathy at Grace Lutheran in Andover on Thursday, January 19th at 11am, with a visitation one hour prior.
