Scribner, Joyce M. age 85, of Brooklyn Park, passed away March 19, 2011. Born in 1926 to Marold and Margaret Christopherson, she married Kenneth Norman in 1944. They raised 7 children in Brooklyn Park. She married Warren Scribner in 1971 and moved to Fridley, then White Bear Lake. She worked at Craft Village stores (Maplewood, Roseville, St. Louis Park, Brooklyn Center) and Bob Evans Gifts, Brooklyn Park. At retirement, she lived with and cared for her mother for 11 years in Champlin. Joyce's first love was her family. She enjoyed a long history of good times with friends in "Birthday Club" and she generously offered her time and talents to others. She spread sunshine wherever she went. Preceded in death by her husbands; daughter, Kathie Norman; son, Charles Norman; and brother, Melvin Christopherson. Survived by sons, Dick (Lois) Norman and Ken Norman; daughters, Diane (John) Meriwether, Pat Kielmeyer (Roger Dickinson) and Mary Mueller; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; the Scribner children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Laurel Christopherson; nephews and families. Funeral service Saturday 11 AM at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover. Visitation one hour prior to service. Private interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
