Joyce Elizabeth Sage, age 86 of North Oaks, formerly of Anoka. Born Aug. 23, 1925 in Anoka, Mn. and passed away Aug. 11, 2012. She is preceded in death by sister, Marjorie Henle; and brother, Harold Bonnell. Joyce spent her childhood growing up in Anoka and was baptixed in the First Baptist Church of Anoka in 1937. She graduated with honors from Anoka High School in 1943 and from the University of Minnesota in 1947 with a BS degree in business with a specialty in textiles. She went to work in research for Strutwear Knitting Co. of Mpls. Joyce was married to Donald Sage on April 29, 1950 at the First Baptist Church of Anoka and they celebrated their 62nd anniversary this year. She is also survived by her children, Nancy (Mark) Hendrickson, Lee (Janet) and Ted (Dawn) Sage; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service Thurs. Aug. 16, 2012, 11 AM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home. 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka.
