Joyce Elaine Horn was born March 6, 1953 in Wadena, Minnesota to Edgar and Ella Horn. She passed away at Mercy Hospital under hospice care on October 16, 2024. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek, Minnesota. After graduating from Deer Creek High School in 1971, she attended Wadena Area Vocational Technical Institute graduating in 1972. She entered the work force in the Twin Cities working at various places throughout her career. In 1977 she married Bruce Marland O'Hern at Trinity Lutheran Church and to this union, Jacquelyn, Tanya and Cory were born.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting afghans.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; daughter, Jacquelyn; her parents, her-in-laws, Marland and Ruth O'Hern; sister, Caroline Horn; brother, Myron Horn; sister-in-law, Karen Horn and brother-in-law, Steve O'Hern.

She is survived by daughter, Tanya; son, Cory; brother, Lyle Horn; sisters, Linda Horn and Judy (Jim) Micko; sister-in-law, Lisa Dawson; brother-in-laws, Kevin O'Hern and Dana O'Hern; nephew, Devin (Samantha) Horn; niece, Gina (Cory) Chase; nephew, Luke (Laura) Horn, nephew, Patrick Dawson Jr; niece, Jada Dawson, niece, Rhonda Stier; great nieces and nephews, Ella, Everett and Emmitt Horn, LeAnn and Lilian Chase; Jordan, Landon, Kohan and Olivia Horn, Eric Olson and Benjamin Stier and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at St. John's Evangelical Church, 9141 Co Road 101, Corcoran, Minnesota. Burial will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Deer Creek, Minnesota.
