Obituary
Josephine "Jo" Hurner, age 85 of Ramsey, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis.
As the wife of a United States Air Force veteran who worked for Hughes Aircraft, Jo traveled extensively with her husband, Richard, and their family. After settling in the Twin Cities area, Jo was employed at Methodist Hospital in the Kidney Dialysis unit, prior to transferring to the University of Minnesota Hospital, where she worked for many years.
Jo enjoyed cooking, especially Italian food, and she was a talented seamstress who made many articles of clothing for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always taking care of everyone.
In addition to her husband, Richard Hurner, Jo was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Griffin; brother, Lutian Miletello. She is survived by her daughters, Judi and Cindy Hurner; son, Allen Hurner; granddaughter, Amanda Hurner; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Derosier; sisters, Mary Shaft and Patricia Mullet.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Avenue S., Minneapolis. Meet inside Assembly Lane #1.
