Josephine Damiani Berge, age 84, passed away on October 23 rd , 2021. Born to Mary and William Klein, she grew up in Minneapolis and attended Ascension Catholic School.  At age 16, Josephine met the love of her life, Daniel Damiani, and they married shortly thereafter.  They raised their 9 children in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Josephine loved many things in life: music, musicals, Twins baseball, dancing, and playing dominos with her grandchildren.  She made friends wherever she went.  But most of all she loved her family unconditionally.  Her youngest child, Terri, is a special needs child and Josephine devoted much of her time being involved in the special needs community. When her husband Daniel passed at the young age of 51, Josephine was left at home with 4 children.  But Josephine never lost her positive outlook and a few years later she met her second husband, Jack Berge.  They were only married six years before Jack passed.  Again, Josephine recovered and started traveling with widowed friends.  Hawaiian cruises, New York City, and Italy were some of her trips. She only started slowing down in the last few years due to declining health.

Josephine is preceded in death by her husbands, Daniel Damiani and Jack Berge, and her parents, William and Mary Klein.

She is survived by her children Ramona, Gina, Mary, Holly, Peg, Dan, Patti, Jim and Terri; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and two brothers Gene Klein and Henry Ottinger.

She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.  Rest in peace, Josephine.

All services will be held on Friday, November 5 th , 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul, 9100 93 rd Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. The Visitation will begin at 9:30 and Mass will begin at 10:30, followed by a Luncheon for those in attendance. A Private Burial will take place on Saturday for the family.
