Joseph A. Gahwiler age 84 of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on May 19, 2024.

Joe was born on October 13, 1939 to Joseph and Adeline in Monroe, WI. Joe grew up on a dairy farm in Blachardville, WI. He attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. While in Milwaukee he met his soon to be wife, Bonnie on a blind date. They were married on September 2, 1961 at St. John's Cathedral in Milwaukee. He worked as an engineer for Honeywell for over 30 years and was able to enjoy the lake life in Minnesota and wintering in Mesquite, NV.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Adeline and his brother, Carl. Joe is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Susan (Randy), Lori (Craig), Michael (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Ryan Beyer, Ryan (Paige), Kristian, Aaron, Spencer; great-grandchildren, Remi and Maeve; sister, Mary and many other loving family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson Street, Anoka, starting with a visitation at 10 AM and the Service at 11 AM. There will be a Private Interment at Calvary Cemetery following the luncheon.
