Essig, Jonathan "Jon" L., age 60 of Anoka, passed away January 28, 2015 following a brief battle with cancer. Preceded in death by father, Donald and brother, Daniel. Survived by wife Jerilynn; her children Matt and Heather Rohrer, Rebecca Wolff; his daughter, Jennifer (John) Mason; grandsons, Ethan, Samuel and a baby on the way; mother, Aina; sister, Sue; and many other loving relatives and friends. Jon was a dedicated Deputy Sherriff, a great friend to many, a man of conviction and great love. Visitation will be Monday, 5-8 PM at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW., Andover, funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM with a visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home.
