John Everette Skeate, age 89, of Oak Grove, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. John was born in Northeast Minneapolis to John and Maria Skeate, on March 14, 1935. He lived his life as a proud husband, father, grandfather, and United States Marine.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Florence; brother, Thomas (Peggy); great-granddaughter, Rosalie; and his parents.

John is survived by his children, John (Sally), Paul (Connie), Richard (Laurna); grandchildren, Emily (Lucas) Virchow, Tyler (Kayla) Skeate, Alexander (Samantha) Skeate, Cameron (Katie) Skeate, Angelica (Jay Solem) Levercom, Amanda (Josh) Boss, Kenneth Levercom, Kaitlyn Johnson (Jake Snelling), Sarah Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Jade, Hailey, Cecelia, Sawyer, Rowan, Violet, Charlotte, Carson, Kaleb, Boston, Tyler, Ellianna, Faith, Samantha, and Chloe.

A Memorial Service will be held for John on Tuesday, April 23, at St Patrick's Church in Oak Grove, Minnesota, at 11am, with a visitation at 10am.

He will be buried with Florence at The Church of our Lady in Manannah, Minnesota, on Wednesday, April 24, at 12pm.
