John M. Katnis, age 63 of Cedar, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at his home.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John N. and Marlene Katnis; and brother, Dale Katnis. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Katnis; children, John D. Katnis, Annette Schmitt (Jeff), Heather Fields (John G.), Curt Nyberg, Corey Nyberg (Tammy), Shawn Nyberg, and Leilani Nyberg; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue, Anoka. Visitation two hours prior to the service (5:00 - 7:00 p.m.) Private Interment with Full Military Honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
