Herman, John A. Age 85 of Coon Rapids, formerly of North Mpls. Class of 1949 Robbinsdale High School. John was retired after 40 years from the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad as an engineer. Preceded in death by wives Jean Herman and Maureen Dougherty-Herman; daughter-in-law Sandy; siblings Joseph, Frances Zimmer, Vernon and Bernice Muelbauer. Survived by sons Reed (Sandra), Ross and Randy (Peggy); grandchildren Chasady, Nicole (Adam), Steven (Danaqa), Angela (Christina), Tyler, Connor and Madisen; great-grandchildren, Tobias, Taetum, Cayden, Alexis, Brooklyn and Ahna; siblings, Theresa Baker, Mary Dieger, Clem (Evonne) Herman and Harriet Burns; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Private interment Calvary Cemetery, Anoka.
