Jenny Lynn (Schultz) Sprau (46) lived a life marked by adventure, courage, and strength. Born on November 7, 1978 to Martin and Mary (McNown) Schultz, Jenny grew up on the family farm in Mauston Wisconsin with her parents and sisters Carrie and Lauri. Growing up, Jenny enjoyed participating in 4-H, was active in church choir and softball league, and spent many summers fishing on the lakes of Northern Wisconsin, and road tripping with her family.

After graduating from Mauston High School, Jenny attended the University of Duluth where she majored in English. While there, Jenny met the love of her life, Christopher Sprau. They married on October 7, 2000 in Isanti, MN and settled in Mounds View, later moving to Coon Rapids, MN. Throughout their almost 25 years of marriage, Jenny and Chris had many adventures together, touring Europe, Iceland, Norway, Mexico, Caribbean islands, and national parks throughout the United States.

As an accomplished fly fisher, Jenny spent many weekends at her favorite fishing hole along the Brule River, where a picture of Jenny and her record 29 ½ inch steelhead still hangs on the wall of a local motel.

A skilled mediator and Sr. Compliance Manager, Jenny began her career with Ameriprise Financial in 2000. An all-star in her field, Jenny was known by her colleagues as "being able to deliver a deficiency with a smile." Her wit and wry sense of humor were only matched by her resilience. Throughout Jenny's 11-year battle with cancer, she faced each new obstacle with optimism and hope.

On January 24, 2025, Jenny passed away peacefully in the arms of her family. She is survived by her husband Christopher Sprau, parents Martin and Mary Schultz, sisters Carrie (David) Green and Lauri Greeno, mother-in-law Deborah Sprau, brother-in-law Brian Sprau, nephews Jorden Neulreich, Lincoln Green and niece Madison Green as well as many relatives and friends that loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Greg Sprau.

A Visitation for Jenny will be on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4PM - 7PM at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover, MN. A Celebration of Jenny's Life will be on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11 AM followed by a luncheon at the funeral home.
