Jeffrey Alan Johnson, age 70 of Ham Lake, MN passed away on November 17, 2023.

Jeff was born to Harlan and June Johnson on June 26th, 1953. He grew up in Fridley, MN, graduating from Fridley High School in 1971. He married and had two daughters, raising them in Spring Lake Park, while working for Minnegasco, which would go on to become Centerpoint Energy. In 2002, Jeff lost his first wife and gained two sons-in-law. Jeff remarried in 2007 and moved to Ham Lake.

After 40 years of employment, Jeff retired from Centerpoint Energy in 2018 and spent his free time working in the yard, cooking delicious meals, or tinkering and woodworking in his shop. Jeff was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Lymphoma in April of 2019. After a rollercoaster of treatment experiences, he was also diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome and underwent a bone marrow transplant in June of 2023. The transplant was not as successful as Jeff had hoped and the fight was exhausting. On November 17th, Jeff slipped from our earthly grasp while he slept, giving him the final rest and peace that his body needed.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harlan & June Johnson and his wife, Terry Beth Johnson. Jeff is survived by wife, Cheryl Johnson; daughter, Lisa (Matt) Cavanaugh; daughter, Kim (Jason) DeShaw; grandsons, Jonah, Elijah, Declan, Silas, and Soren; brother, Dennis (Mary Joyce) Johnson; brothers/sisters-in-law, nephews & nieces, and a lifetime of friends.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday (11/28/2023) from 10 – 11 AM followed by an 11 AM funeral service at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 61 Mississippi Way, Fridley, MN. Private Interment to follow.
