Obituary

Jason Patrick Boedigheimer of Ramsey, Minnesota

June 11, 1971 – December 5, 2018

Jason Patrick Boedigheimer, age 47, of Ramsey following a 15-month battle with glioblastoma.

Jason graduated from Anoka High School in 1989 and went on to earn two Bachelor of Arts

degrees from Saint John's University (Chemistry and Biology) and an MBA from The University

of Saint Thomas. Jason applied his education throughout a 20+ year career at Hirshfield's Paint

Manufacturing where he served as Operations Manager/Technical Director. This long tenure

reflected Jason's appreciation for the family owned company with a strong culture of tradition

and ethics…elements that Jason strongly believed in and lived throughout his life.

As an active member of the community, Jason was a youth hockey coach (Anoka and Elk River)

and—as a man of faith—a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. An avid outdoorsman,

Jason loved spending time afield with family and friends. From the duck blind and pheasant

fields to fishing and the family deer camp, Jason enjoyed the outdoors and sharing that time

with those he cherished. He especially enjoyed traveling, camping, skiing, sailing, playing

cribbage with his family and playing in the men's hockey league that he organized and

participated in until the time of his diagnosis. Jason was a dog lover who seemed to attract the

affection of any canine that came near him. Jason's big-hearted nature, easy smile and dry wit

were never far from the surface and his capacity for caring was quickly evident to anyone in his

presence. A loyal friend, Jason forged deep bonds with his circle of friends and could be

counted on to be there during good times and bad; for Jason valued those relationships and

understood how precious they were. But above all, Jason was a family man…a father and

husband whose pride for his children and devotion to his wife couldn't be contained. A man

who put family first, was always supportive and did all he could to show his family they were

loved.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Betty Boedigheimer, Richard

Thompson; father in-law, Thomas M. Wilson Jr. MD; brothers in-law, Thomas M. Wilson III and

Charles D. Everson. Jason is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Nicolette; children, Riley,

Maggie and Blake; parents, Patrick and Sheryl Boedigheimer; siblings, Tracy (Michael) Kinn, Jeff

(Kristine) Boedigheimer; grandmother, Sylvia Thompson; mother in-law, Arlene Wilson; sisters

in-law, Maja Everson and Natica (Robin Alter) Wilson; nephew and nieces, Nathan, Madeline

and Taylor Kinn, Anna and Maren Boedigheimer, Anastasia Everson, Sisu and Talula Alter;

aunts, uncles, cousins and many other loving family and friends.
