Jamison John "Jay" O'Brien, age 58 of East Bethel, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 at home, surrounded by family.
Jay was born January 29, 1959 in Compton, CA. He was a "jack of all trades"; there was really nothing he couldn't do. He loved music, spontaneous road trips, good food, and spending time at home or at the cabin with his girls, grandkids, friends and beloved dog, Sam. Jay was known for his famous Screwdrivers; labeled by many as the best drink in town. As a true Wild Irishman, Jay lived his life to the fullest and on his terms. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy O'Brien; brothers, Kevin and Shawn O'Brien; son-in-law, Greg Saniti; and brother-in-law, Gene Provost. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Helen O'Brien; daughters, Genevieve Saniti, Mary Barker (Jeff Crawford), and Jocelyn Graff (Jason); grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Miah, Colton, Jamison, Ella, Alex, and Brody; sisters, Colleen Provost and Sue Cutler (Mark); sister-in-law, Cindy O'Brien; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jay's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Hidden Haven Golf Club, 20520 Polk Street NE, East Bethel.
Arrangements entrusted to Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home of Andover.
