James Henry Boos, born September 27, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Edward and Florence (Nipp) Boos, went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2026, at the age of 98. Jim was a World War II veteran serving in the US Army. He grew up in Minneapolis and Constance, Minnesota, as one of nine children, with four brothers and four sisters. He remained close to his siblings throughout their lives. As their families grew, they continued to enjoy countless picnics, parties, and family gatherings together, creating memories that lasted a lifetime. For the past 35 years, Jim shared his life with his wife, Doris. Through their marriage, Jim also became part of Doris’s family, sharing in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Jim retired after 33 years from Federal Cartridge in Anoka, Minnesota. Throughout his life, Jim had a love of horses. He especially enjoyed spending time with his best friend, Kenny, on the Camp Courage Wagon Train. These experiences and friendships brought him much enjoyment over the years. Jim is survived by his wife, Doris; his four children, Sandra (Rod) Serdahl, Wesley Boos, Terrence Boos, and Tracy (Fay) Boos; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as Doris’s children, grandchildren, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers and four sisters. Memorial Services Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11 am at Cedar United Methodist Church 17541 Jefferson Street, NE, Cedar, Minnesota. Visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Interment 2 pm at Forest Hill Cemetery in Anoka.
