IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen Ann
Walters
November 21, 1938 – May 21, 2022
Walters, Helen A. age 83 of Ham Lake, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 21, 2022 . Helen was Preceded in death by her husband, Guy "Sonny" Walters; her significant other, Ernest "Mike" Lindbloom; parents and 6 siblings. Survived by her children, Joe (Tanya), Julie (Randy) Bromley; grandchildren, Ashley Freeman and Alison Aguilar, Jake and Luke Kimpling, Brady, Brooklyn and Bryn Bromley; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings and many other loving family and friends.
Helen married Sonny when she was 18 and they were together until he passed in 1987. She was devastated when she found out she could not have kids, but that turned to pure joy when she adopted Joe in 1964 and Julie in 1966. Her Children were always the most important thing in her life. Helen and Sonny enjoyed travelling the USA in their Winnebago Motorhome and spending time at Mille Lacs Lake with family and friends as often as they could. She also loved to visit her mom's family in Fall Creek Wisconsin and stay at her Uncle August's dairy Farm. She would often pick blueberries with her sisters and bake some of the best fresh homemade pies you would ever taste. She started working at Medtronics in Fridley in the late 70's and worked in Quality Inspection until she retired. Helen had a deep love for her family. She was always the sibling that made sure her family stayed together. The "Webinger" family Christmas eves at her house were something to experience, especially when more than a hundred family members would attend that was a tradition that lasted until she was in her 80's. She always made sure everyone had a gift to open. She met Mike years after Sonny had passed and they enjoyed close to 30 years together as well. She loved to travel and in recent years had been on a train ride out west with her brother, his wife and Mike. Her and Mike enjoyed weekends at their lake place on Mille Lacs for years. Helen and Mike loved to go to Mexico and went annually to their Time Share. Her and Mike also loved to take weekend escapes at the casinos up north. She loved to see her Grandkids and Great Grandkids whenever it was possible. You could always find her with a baby snuggled on her chest and sleeping whenever they were around. Her door was always open, no matter the reason. She loved Jesus and had a very strong faith. She was a member of Glen Cary Lutheran church for over 40 years.
