IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Heather Lynn
Morell
December 2, 1972 – April 2, 2025
Heather Stephenson Morell died unexpectedly on April 2, 2025 on vacation in Puerto Rico with her loving husband Kaleb.
Born on December 2, 1972 in Lafayette, Indiana to the Glenda Stephenson and the late John Stephenson, Heather graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School. She attended Purdue University before joining the Air Force and working as an Aerospace Medical Technician. She and Kaleb met while they were both stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho and they married in 2000.
After settling in Andover, Minnesota, Heather studied to become a registered nurse at North Hennepin Community College. But her true vocation was as a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend who gave warmly and generously to those whom she loved. Heather never missed a birthday, an anniversary, or a family gathering, no matter the distance. She also never missed the opportunity for a (long!) phone call with a family
member or friend. She enjoyed supporting and involving herself in her sons' athletic activities, taking an active part in school groups, sports clubs, and community organizations. Her children remember her not just as their mom but as a best friend with whom they could share anything. Heather also had a passion for crafts and explored her creative side by making personalized keepsakes as gifts and for sale at her
independent business Sycamore Street Designs.
She is survived by her husband Kaleb Morell, sons Michael and Andrew, and her mother Glenda Stephenson. She was loved by her five brothers Eric Stephenson, Mike Insko (wife Jamee), Kevin Insko (wife Vickie), Jeff Insko (wife Katy Bodenmiller), and Chukie Nwokorie. Heather was preceded in death by her beloved father John Stephenson and her stepmother Pat Stephenson. She also leaves behind many loving
in-laws, aunts and uncles, cousins, and loyal friends.
Services for Heather will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Eagle Brook Church, 1503 157th Ave NE. Ham Lake, MN. Interment will follow at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids, MN.
