Peterson, Harvey J. DVM, age 90, of Andover, Born June 25, 1923, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2013. H.J. "Doc" Peterson was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Dr. Barry Peterson; father-in-law and mother-in-law; brothers, Reynold and Clinton; sister, Evelyn Neumann, sisters-in-law, Irma Peterson and Bernice Venaas; brothers-in-law, Craig Venaas, James and Clayton Anderson, and Dr. Alvin Neumann; niece Paulette Andrud; nephew, Todd Anderson. Survived by loving wife of 66 years, Blanche; sons, Chad (Janice) and Von (Julie); daughter-in-law, Jennifer; brothers, LeRoy (Ida) Peterson, and Morris (Ruthe)Peterson, sisters-in-law, Lois Peterson and Joyce Anderson; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday Aug. 28, 2013 from 5 - 7 PM at Thurston-Deshaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover. Funeral service Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 16345 Polk St. NE, Andover. Burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
