Harriet Irene Koebensky (nee McCluskey), age 79 of Elk River, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025 in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
Born on April 12, 1946 in Osakis, Minnesota. Harriet was a proud Minnesotan throughout her life. A dedicated student, she graduated from Osakis High School with good grades and soon embarked on a long and successful professional journey.
Harriet bult a distinguished career as a systems analyst at Prudential Insurance , where she worked for over 30 years. Her dedication and expertise earned her the respect of colleagues and peers alike. After decades of service, she chose to retire early, embracing the next chapter of her life with the same spirit of independence and purpose that defined her career.
Faith played a central role in Harriet's life. A devoted Catholic, she was deeply involved with St. Stephen's Catholic Church, where she served faithfully as an usher. Her commitment reflected her strong religious beliefs and desire to give back through service.
In retirement, Harriet remained active and engaged. She participated in a craft group at the YMCA and stayed connected with friends through a retirement group from Prudential. These communities brought her joy and companionship in her later years.
Harriet was known for her kindness, independence, and devotion to family. She was survived by her son, Anthony Koebensky; Daughter, Kathy Bouley; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her love extended beyond people to animals-especially cats-and she was lovingly accompanied in recent years by two feline companions who brought her much happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Harriet's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her legacy of faith, strength, and compassion continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence.
A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Anoka. The date and time has yet to be determined. Please check back for updated information.
