Gregg Anthony Christopherson of Ramsey, MN passed away unexpectedly on his 62nd birthday, December 23rd, 2025.
Born on December 23, 1963, in Minneapolis, MN to Roy and Geri Christopherson. Gregg, like his father, was an amazing athlete in his high school days at Columbia Heights High School. He excelled in football, basketball, and track, and continued playing football alongside his younger brother in his collegiate years.
Gregg met the love of his life, Donna Ward, and instantly knew that she was his forever. Gregg asked Donna to marry him 3 weeks after they met, Gregg and Donna went on to marry and raise two daughters and a son while living in Virginia Beach, VA, Fridley, MN and finally settled in Ramsey, MN.
Gregg graduated from Norfolk State University and went on to work in various computer tech, database, telecom, and network admin positions, most recently as the systems network administrator at St Francis Area Schools and Technology Specialist at Rockford Area Schools before retiring three years ago.
Gregg loved hunting and fishing, especially his annual "up north" Fishing trips. He loved the challenge of seeing who could catch the biggest and the most fish, and even more so enjoyed the quality time spent with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling to bucket list places, attending outdoor concerts, and wine tasting with Donna. Gregg had a special place in his heart for his granddaughter Josie and was looking forward to the birth of his second granddaughter in February, as well as attending his son's wedding in October. He was unbelievable proud of his kids.
From his early years at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Gregg's spiritual journey was marked by deep devotion and faith that defined his Christ-centered life. The time spent preparing and singing during church services with the praise team was some of his most cherished times.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roy, his mother-in-law Vivian, and his father-in-law Al.
He is survived in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Donna; daughters Jennifer (Andrew) and Stacy, son Adam (Liz), mother Geri; brother, Ron (Joy), sister, Kim (Rick), sisters-in-law Jean (Brian) and Sarah (Jim), granddaughters Josie and baby Tulp (coming soon), as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Gregg's life will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior all at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 700 Western St., Anoka. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
Special Thank You to the staff at Thurston-Lindberg-Deshaw Funeral Home.
His legacy is not just in memories, but in the countless lives touched by his faith. While we grieve his absence, we find comfort in the promise that his soul rests in eternal peace with our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
