Gloria L. Sebold, age 84, of Holiday Island, AR, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Gloria was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Harry and Matilda (Reiser) Norton.  She graduated from Grand Island High School and went on to marry her high school sweetheart, John Sebold, in 1952.  They enjoyed nearly 62 years of wedded happiness together.

As a teacher's assistant, Gloria enjoyed working with elementary school-aged children in the Wayzata School District for many years, making a difference in the lives of many.  Gloria was an upbeat person who loved to laugh!  She and John retired to the community of Holiday Island, Arkansas where she enjoyed flower gardening, golf, bridge, bonco, and occasional travel.  They were proud of their volunteer activities; delivering Meals On Wheels, helping with roadside cleanup, church events, and at the Elks Club.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, John; sisters, Louise and Catherine; and son-in-law, Stephen Reigel.  She is survived by her children, Marci (Rolf) Kemen, John (Karen Jaggard), Daniel, David (Cynthia), Lorraine Reigel, Ann (Thomas) Curren, and Thomas (Melissa); 5 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and a second great-granddaughter who is expected later this year; sister, Sister Norma Norton OSB; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the community of Holiday Island, the Elks Lodge, and the people of St. Elizabeth's Church for the years of love and support they showered on both of our parents.  They had incredible friends and neighbors who allowed them to maintain an independent lifestyle for most of their retirement years.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Interment will take place in the Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island, Nebraska.
