It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Olson. Born on September 17, 1940 in Holt Alabama, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on February 1, 2023.

Carol was a long-time employee of General Mills at the James Ford Bell Research Center as an A/V specialist in addition to many other capacities. She loved to quilt and spend time with family and friends. Carol was a caring, loving wife, mom, and very proud grandma who was quick to provide support, encouragement, and tell it like it is advice when needed. She was strong- willed and fought her cancer with stubbornness, determination, and grace, saying she still had things to do.

She was preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers, a sister-in-law and grandsons Alan Michael and David Olson.

She is survived by her loving family: husband, David; children, Randy (Lenny), Debbie Anderson, Teresa Focht, Carol (Wayne) Grabowski, and Jerry (Stephanie); Grandchildren, Shaun (Jessi) Olson, Tara Bixby, Katrina (Bob) Cole, Joshua (Courtney) VanBergen, Joseph (Terri) Focht, Becky (Terry) Clabo, Amber (Ben) Oeffler, Nicholas Focht, Eddie Grabowski, Danny (Ramsey Schell) Grabowski , Tim Grabowski, Wesley Grabowski, Noah (Samantha Sundlie) Olson; Great-grandchildren, Hunter Olson, Emma Olson, Cody (Taylor) Bixby, Logan Bixby, Tyler (Aracely) Lentz, Maia Lentz, Landon, Kaiden, Alaina VanBergen Adrian Focht, Jadon, Mason Clabo, Ever, Baine, Serenity Oeffler, Landen, Parker Grabowski; and great-great grandchild, Exavier Bixby in addition to many other relatives and friends.

At Carol's request a celebration of life party will be held at the Anoka Legion on June 24, 2023, with details yet to be determined.

A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Friday, March 10, 2023, with a visitation 1 hour prior at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
