Gladys Louise Farb, age 98 of Inver Grove Heights, formerly of Burns Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society of Inver Grove Heights.

Gladys was born on August 4, 1921 in Mapes, North Dakota to William and Reith (Purmort) Craig.  Prior to World War II, Gladys moved with her family to Minnesota and graduated from Anoka High School.  She served as a civilian employee with the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C., prior to marrying her husband, August T. Farb at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka, MN on July 24, 1943.  August and Gladys owned and operated a dairy farm in Burns Township (Nowthen, MN) until August passed away in June of 2006.  Gladys was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, a volunteer at Mercy Hospital, an avid gardener, and promoter of parks and recreation services for Burns Township.  She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, August; a three month-old infant son, Alan (1948); brothers, Robert, John, William, Keith, and Lloyd; and sister, Una.  She is survived by her sons, William (Carol), Donald (Lynn), David (Chris), Eldon (Rita), and Glen (Nancy); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Avenue S., Anoka.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at church (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.)  Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association ( www.heart.org ), the American Lung Association ( www.lung.org ), and Mercy Hospital ( www.allinahealth.org )
