Evans, Gerald "Jerry" Age 68 of Ramsey, passed away on Friday, July 14. Jerry was born May 14, 1949 in St. Cloud to Willard and Liddy Evans. He graduated from Tech High School in St. Cloud in 1967. Then served in the US Army 1968-1970 as a Vietnam Veteran. He married Kathy Imholte in July 1972 and worked many years as a welder at Barry Blower and Life Fitness. Retirement allowed him more time to enjoy riding his Harley, fishing, running, working out, gardening, woodworking, watching eagles and volunteering for Disabled American Veterans. Survived by wife, Kathy; 2 sons, Chad (Melanie), Mike (Missy); 5 granddaughters, Brianna, Maggie, Lacie, Amber, Grace; mother, Lidwina "Liddy" Geers; 7 siblings, Mary Bakken (Steve Munstenteiger), Bernard (Pam) Evans, Shirley (Gary) Dirschel, Marvin (Pat) Evans, Darlene (Rich) Leininger, Dwayne Evans (Ronda Duford), JoAnn (Rollie) Johnson; 3 step siblings, Jim (Mary) Geers, Dick (Terri) Geers, Sandy (Steve) Rausch; plus many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by son Shawn Evans, father Willard Evans, stepfather Ben Geers. Funeral services on Wednesday, July 19th at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St, Anoka 55303. 11am mass, with visitation 1 hour before, interment at Calvary Cemetery, lunch immediately following at church.
