Georgia Heggerness (Auld), age 92, of Brooklyn Park, passed away on September 28th, 2023.

Georgia graduated class of 1950 at Frederic High School in Wisconsin. After High School, she moved to Minneapolis where she worked in administrative positions. Her favorite working years were with Schaper Toy Company. Georgia's four grandchildren were her greatest joy, with whom she spent lots of time loving and spoiling. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, craft projects and taking photos of nature. Georgia's spirit, character, and love of life is what we will always remember and hold dear. Her last year was most special at her assisted living residence where she made so many friends who also helped her and the family feel loved in her final days. A special thanks to Georgia's hospice nurse Mary, who was by our side for Georgia and Rollie.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rollie; brothers, Bud and Don; sisters, Lida, Esther, and Donna Mae.

Georgia is survived by her son, Rich (Karie) Heggerness; grandchildren, Jess (Jim) Adolphson, Angie Heggerness, Dan Heggerness, Jake Heggerness; and sister, Juanita Berg.

A Funeral for Georgia will be held on Monday, October 9th at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, with the service beginning at 11am, and a visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will follow the service at Greenhaven Golf Course in Anoka. Interment at Ft. Snelling will be at a later date.
