Gary Lee Rose, 85, of Ramsey, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis. He was born on March 23, 1941, in Clear Lake, Minnesota, to Chet and Pauline Rose. He attended Becker High School and, after graduation, joined the U.S. Navy. From there he attended St. Cloud Vocational School and later Dunwoody College, where he studied printmaking and graphic arts.

He married Geraldine Werner in 1967, and they were married for 58 years. Gary and Geraldine raised their two daughters in Ramsey. Gary retired from the Star Tribune, where he worked as a printer, a career he was incredibly proud of.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Geraldine; his daughters, Kristin (Terry) Jordan and Rebecca (Robert) Scarcello; and four granddaughters.

To Gary, everyone was a friend.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026 at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave, Anoka. Private Interment at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the family.
