Kranitz, Fred E. Born in Mpls MN on 7-15-1944. Passed away on 03-12-2015. A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Preceded in death by parents, Michael G. and Ione Kranitz; sister, Caroline LeDoux and brothers, Jerald and Michael P. Kranitz. Survived by wife, Sandra, of 48 yrs and sons, Patrick (Christine) and Ryan (Heather) and 4 adored grandchildren, Zachary, Reese, Ellie & Morgan Kranitz. Also survived by brothers, Ronald, Frank, & John Kranitz and sisters, Sandra Bazoff, and Martha Church. Lifelong member of UAW. Employed by Dana/Napco Corps for 35 yrs. Fred enjoyed gardening, woodworking, listening to music (especially Elvis), time spent with family and friends and his annual opening day fishing trip with his fishing buddy of 50 yrs, Rich. Fred was very proud of his military service and the years he spent as a Boy Scout leader of Champlin Boy Scout Troop 276. Funeral service Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Ave S., Anoka. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Wed., March 18, 5-8 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka and also one hour prior to service at the church.
