Frank Menter, Age 85, died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 4 th , 2022.

Frank is survived by wife Lee; son Andro Menter; daughter Brenda Pierson, Brenda's husband Kevin; grandchildren Zakary Menter;Samantha Menter; Great Grandchildren Wyatt and Reese; brother Don Menter and his wife Sharon; sister Sandy Thielen and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Francis Menter, and sister Beverly.

After high school Frank joined the Army. He  spent 3 years in Germany, where he met his wife Lee. He spent his career as an office machine service and repairman for AddoX Sales.

When the typewriter was on its way to becoming obsolete, Frank made the decision to embark on a new career as a custodian for the Anoka-Hennepin School District. He was a 'fix-it" guy, and completed numerous projects outside of his duties for the schools he worked in!

Frank enjoyed camping, canoeing, fishing, gardening,  building things, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was always up for a "Road-trip."

Frank loved to help people and was a volunteer for many years at the United Methodist Church and the Anoka Food Shelf. Following in the footsteps of his dad, Howard, Frank was a member of the Anoka American Legion. His grandson Zak is carrying on the tradition. Frank was in charge of the hospital equipment program and enjoyed helping out wherever needed. He was recognized with the  Volunteer of the Year Award multiple times by the Anoka and State of Minnesota American Legions.

Frank was a caring and committed father and loved spending time with his grandkids. We will miss his humor, stubbornness and friendship.

We hope there is beer in heaven and you can drink it there!

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM held at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka on Saturday April 9, 2022.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Anoka American Legion following the service.
