Lindh, Evelyn L. (Baker) age 87, of Coon Rapids, formerly of St. Francis, MN, died peacefully in her sleep on June 7, 2016. Evelyn was president and an active member of the Rush City VFW Ladies Auxiliary, served on the City Council, and lived there with her husband until he died in 1995. Until her move to Select Senior Living in 2012, she enjoyed an active lifestyle including vacations, fishing, long walks, sewing, gardening, reading and visiting with friends. She will be remembered dearly by her great-grandchildren as "Grandma Bootsie" and by caregivers as "Gama." Preceded in death by parents, Lesley & Iris (Mayberry) Baker; husband, Vergil A. Lindh; daughter, Karen J. Davis; son, Russell A. Lindh; brothers, Harold, Marvin, Virgil and Everett Baker. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Michele (nee Davis) Damm, Jodi (Chad) Oelkers, Lori (Troy) Jochum, Miya (Brian) Lindh, Cynthia (Brian) Opp, Jennifer Davis; great-grandchildren, Maxfield, Madison and McKenzie Oelkers, Matthew, Paige and Samantha Jochum, Dylan, Allery, Wyatt, Jayce and Sayler Lindh, Haellie and Rissa Opp, Alexander and Sierra Sweeney-Davis. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11 AM, with a visitation one hour prior at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover. Interment Oak Leaf Cemetery.
