Eleanor A. "Ellie" Ghostley, age 91 of Anoka, passed away on November 29, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin and infant son, Francis.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Mary Kay (Rick) Wesp, Jeanne Ghostley (Chris Saari), Ed (Kathy) Ghostley; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Ellie grew up in Loretto, MN and was one of eleven children born to Henry and Angela Oeffling. She married Edwin in 1954 and moved to Anoka, where she later spent 42 years as secretary of St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

She loved her family, the Spooks softball Team that they sponsored and managed for over 25 years, cheering on the Twins, playing cards, backyard fishing on the river, and entertaining family and friends.

The family is very grateful for the caregivers at Autumn Glen Senior Living in Coon Rapids for providing outstanding care since April of 2023 and also to St. Croix Hospice for their special care over the past few weeks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 30th, 2024 at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior to Mass at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St. Anoka.

Ellie will be deeply missed, but forever remembered by so many who were privileged to have experienced her sweet spirit and kind heart.
