Celebration of Life Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 12 noon at Riverdale Church, 3210 Bunker Lake Boulevard, NW, Andover with visitation beginning at 11 am. Private interment Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Elaine was born on October 7, 1929. She often told how she was so small that her
bed was a drawer that sat close to the stove to keep her warm. She was not a healthy child and was carried on pillows by her mother. At the age of two, even though prayed for many times, her father decided she needed to see a doctor; however, said "before we do we will pray one more time". As he finished the prayer, Elaine looked to her mother who was holding her and asked if she could get down and play. God wonderfully reached down and healed her. It was the beginning of many miracles God granted to Elaine and her family! Elaine worked on the farm alongside her father developing a strong work ethic. As a young woman, she decided to move to the Twin Cities into an apartment owned by a church later named Hope Temple. It was there she met her soul mate, Enock Olsen. He had come from the northern town of Grygla to be in his brother's wedding. She was a bridesmaid in the same wedding. Shortly, thereafter, they were married on April 26, 1948 and moved to Grygla where they
started their family. Within a couple of years the decision was made to return to the Twin Cities. Elaine held a variety of jobs but her first love was Jesus, family, music and gardening. In that order! She would share about Jesus and her family . Give away the abundance of garden produce to others, but oh how she loved music. She did not read music, playing several instruments only by ear! She was the pianist or organist in several churches she attended. She allowed God's gift to be used for His glory. In their golden years, Elaine and Enock returned to Grygla buying Motel 89. They entertained many friends and again, she was pianist for the small country church. Due to health concerns, Elaine and Enock returned to the Twin Cities to be near family. Elaine loved Jesus, telling everyone she met about Him! Gospel music was an expression from her soul! She lived for God and her family. Her life was full and blessed!
