LaTuff, Edward F. "Buster" age 83 of Anoka, passed away November 17, 2016. Buster served as a Marine during the Korean War then attended St. Cloud State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree. He and was in law enforcement for 27 years before retiring as Anoka Police Chief. He also graduated from the FBI Academy in 1972 and was a recipient of the J. Edgar Hoover Award for the Police officer of the year. Buster was also active in the Anoka American Legion were he was a past Commander. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Agnes; wife, Rose Ann. Survived by his children, Melanie Willson, Melissa (Bruce) West, Mark (Bobbi) LaTuff; grandchildren, Jared (Elicia) Willson, Devin Willson, Austin Collins, Matt West (Angela Dimond), Jessica LaTuff; great-grandchildren, Brody, Grady Eliza; brother, Richard LaTuff; and many other loving relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka with the Memorial Service Wednesday at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka.
